Jan 8: Dominican?
Since we’ve been here a month, it’s now time to travel like the locals so we introduced Mom and Dad to the guagua’s. Our little bit of Spanish seems to help with getting more reasonably bus fares, and taxi fares back at night. Otherwise, not much to report other than great beaches, good food, warm weather, and clear blue ocean.

We didn’t necessarily wait to try, it just doesn’t come by our house in La Vega so the opportunity never arose! It’s much simpler to just jump on a Motto-Concho waiting outside our door and take a private trip to town. But the buses are a lot of fun. I (don’t tell anyone) even picked up a movie during our short trip to town!
